If you are like me, I was a little nervous and a lot excited about planning my first cruise. Over 20 years ago I spent hours upon hours researching so many things about my first cruise, it made my head spin. Now with years of experience and 25+ cruises under my belt, I would like to share a few key things that will help you plan your first cruise.
Choose A Destination – The first step is figuring out where you’d like to cruise. Picking your cruise destination will have a huge impact on which cruise line you end up selecting. But even within a destination like “the Caribbean” there are still many other itinerary-related choices. For example, do you wish to discover the Eastern, Western or Southern Caribbean? And then, even within those routes different cruise lines travel to different ports and islands, including private islands where the cruise companies stop to offer uncomplicated beach days for their guests.
